Galanthus
Welcome to the wonderful world of snowdrops, or “galanthus”, stemming from Greek gála for milk and ánthos for blossom / flower!
Below, we show images and descriptions of some snowdrops that grow in our garden. All pictures were taken in a natural setting without additional editing. Enjoy!
We are grouping some highlights from our garden into four categories, regardless of their scientific nomenclatura – into snowdrops displaying green markings, yellow markings, funny markings, and those with interesting looks or shapes in general.
We breed and trade plants. Our specialty are snowdrops (galanthus), which are bred in a natural setting here at our premises. Snowdrops are fascinating little plants, and the first one to bloom in spring. There are more than 2,000 recognized breeds in the meantime, in various forms and with various shadings of leaves and flowers. We offer the most common and most popular breeds of the last several decades.
